Which Side Are You On?

The love you have for Christ is inversely proportional to the love you have for this world and all that is in it! The two are mutually exclusive, and can never link arms! For what union does light have with darkness?

You cannot serve two masters; you will either love the one and hate the other, or hate the one and love the other!

The greater your love for the things of this world, the greater your disdain for Christ. The greater your love for yourself, the lesser your love towards him. Or don't you know that friendship with the world is hatred towards God? Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God!

Can the spirit of this world and the Spirit of God partner together? Can the flesh and the Spirit walk in unity? How can two walk together unless they be agreed? Can a yoke of oxen walk in two different directions? So how can one yoked with Christ walk on the broad path, when He is the narrow way?

You cannot date Christ and sleep with the world!

There is no fence sitting! In fact, there is no fence! Just a great divide between the two. A bottomless ravine!

Which side are you on?

This was great Sam! Very good points made. I'm definitely on the side of Christ and not the world, or myself. Unfortunately we are all human and occasionally make those blunders.

I have found though that the more we seek Him the less often those blunders happen. Praise the Lord!

Hello Sam,

I found your blog through Penn's. This type of message is exactly what people today don't want to hear, which makes it all the more important... our society is full of 'moral Christians'. Thanks for sharing...
