Dust To Dust?

From dirt, to monkey, to man and back to the dirt again! Is that really how life works? If you are someone who believes in Evolution (macro), then consider these questions: When you look at a building and see the design and intricacy, do you say that it came about by chance or that it had an intelligent builder behind it? Then how can you say that the human brain, the human eye and the world around you doesn't have something Intelligent behind it? When you look at your Honda and say, “I really want a Lexus,” do you blow it up and expect to get a Lexus? Then why believe in the Big Bang? Why is there so much uniformity in nature if it was all “by chance”? Where do reason and logic come from and how do you know that they are reasonable and logical? What is the meaning of life? Is there a meaning to life if Evolution is true? Do you think that rape, child abuse and unjust murder are wrong? Why do you think they are wrong and how do you know they are wrong? Is there a standard that you use to say that those things are wrong? Truth be told, there is a standard that is given to us by God to show us right from wrong. It is the Ten Commandments. We will ALL be judged by God’s Holy Law someday. Have you ever lied? Ever stolen? Ever looked with lust? Ever hated someone? If you have, then you are a liar, a thief, an adulterer (Matt. 5:28) and a murderer (1 John 3:15). You are a lawbreaker in God’s sight and therefore deserve punishment. That punishment is Hell Forever! That’s not God’s will for you though. Jesus Christ lived a sinless life, died on a cross and rose again. He did this so that you might be Cleansed from your sin, Pardoned from your punishment and Reconciled to God so you can have an Eternal Relationship with Him. Repent of your sins (turn from them) and Trust in Christ! Be SMART about your eternity!

Hi Omah. Thank you for your kind words, but I got these words off a gospel tract from http://www.pinpointevangelism.com/!

Hey there, I was going to comment on your words too...

However, since you lifted it from a tract there's no need for me to tell you that your knowledge of scientific theories is woefully inadequate, is there?

Wait, you don't actually think the 'big bang' was an explosion do you?

I'd go on with all the other misconceptions and misrepresentations in this post, but there's not really any point, is there?

If there is, then cool; we can talk. But if you deny scientific theory purely on the basis that it conflicts with your interpretation of Scripture then you've sacrificed intellectual honesty at the alter of fundamentalist dogma and there's not a lot of point discussing it at all.

Regards,

Matt
