I Am Not Ashamed of the TRUE Gospel!

The Gospel!!

Tony Miano does a wonderful job presenting the gospel to this young man! He clearly takes him through the law, points out why God's wrath abides on him, and then gives him the good news... the gospel!

Law to the proud, grace to the humble.

Jesus came to save sinners... that is, he came to save all - for all have sinned! When we repent of our sin, of our unbelief, of our self righteousness, and turn to Christ, crying out for mercy and putting our trust in Him - He will save. He will not turn them away who come to him broken and humbled!

"Him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out." - John 6:37

No limit is set to the duration of this promise. It does not merely say, "I will not cast out a sinner at his first coming," but, "I will in no wise cast out. " The original reads, "I will not, not cast out," or "I will never, never cast out. " The text means, that Christ will not at first reject a believer; and that as he will not do it at first, so he will not to the last.

But suppose the believer sins after coming? "If any man sin we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous." But suppose that believers backslide? "I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for mine anger is turned away from him. " But believers may fall under temptation! "God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. " But the believer may fall into sin as David did! Yes, but he will "Purge them with hyssop, and they shall be clean; he will wash them and they shall be whiter than snow"; "From all their iniquities will I cleanse them. "

Teach A Man To Fish

Give a man a fish and you will feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish and you will feed him for a lifetime. Share not the gospel with him and he will still go to hell, but on a full stomach!

Leave No Stone Unturned!

You have heard the comment 'leave no stone unturned'. Bring it into a 21st century evangelical context and it might read a little like, 'leave no SPAM unreturned'.

A recent comment received on the blog has reminded me again of how many opportunities there are to share the gospel with people on a daily basis! They are literally falling into your inbox!

What a wonderful opportunity to witness to people from all over the globe, by a simple click of the Reply button.

I took the following eye analogy from the Way of the Master guys and kind of bundled into an email response with the subject line of: Would you sell one of your eyes for $1,000,000?

This is not the be all and end all! You may have used a different approach, more scripture references, less words... but the main thing is that the message is clear: Jesus Christ was crucified because we are sinners & salvation is a free gift to all who repent and believe!

What if someone offered you a million dollars for one of your eyes? How about five million dollars for both of your eyes? Would you do it? Would you spend the rest of your life blind for any amount of money? Probably not. Why? Because your eyes and the gift of sight are precious to you.

It has been said that the eyes are the windows to the soul. The following statement is also true. “For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul?” Is not your soul of far greater value than even your eyesight?

Are you good enough to get into Heaven?? Would you consider yourself to be a good person?? Let's find out!

Have you ever told a lie, stolen anything, or used God's name in vain? Jesus said, 'Whoever looks upon a woman to lust after her has committed adultery already with her in his heart.' Have you looked with lust? If you have done those things then God sees you as a lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterer at heart! The Bible warns that all who are found guilty of doing these things will end up in Hell! Will you be guilty on Judgment Day? That's not God's will. He sent His Son to suffer and die on the cross for you! Jesus took your punishment upon Himself -'For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.' Then He rose from the dead and defeated death. This is serious folks! Give it some thought! Please, repent (turn from sin) today and trust in Jesus with everything you've got, and God will grant you everlasting life. Then read your Bible daily and obey it!

Don't Forget Your Toothbrush!

Today, many people will spend more time brushing their teeth than attending to the great need of their own soul! It's a tragic reality! In the next 24 hours around 150,000 people will pass from time into eternity - many of those will go with clean teeth and a rotten soul.

As believers in Christ we are compelled to go into all the world and take the gospel of the Jesus Christ to all people! It is an undertaking that God's love, within the heart of all his children, bids them do! But how? Cleaning teeth I know, but souls?

As a child, I was instructed to brush my teeth for a full three minutes before I went to bed. A small sacrifice of time, but my teeth have thanked me for it! What if you only had three minutes to share the Gospel with a dying man? Would you be ready?

It may be all the time he has left, but if you share the life saving gospel with him and he is gloriously saved by faith in Christ, you will have such joy in your heart knowing that he has passed through death with clean teeth and a clean soul!
